ART of the EARTH
The explosive yet fluid nature of this work represents the built-up stress and subsequent relief that comes from focusing solely on the creation of these paintings. Since the process used to produce these paintings forces me to be totally present while consistently manipulating the paint on the canvas before it dries, I’m able to reach an almost meditative state while creating. This meditative state connects me to the Earth allowing me to get lost in the movement of the paint freeing my mind to feel the Sun, stars, and land around me.
Zodiac Series
Have you ever looked up at the sun or the stars in the sky and wondered “What does it all mean?” All the way back to the 3rd millennium BC, the ancient Babylonians had the same existential wonder as we do now. The combination of man’s search for meaning plus the development of astronomical knowledge during the ancient Babylonian empire, marks the start of the astrology we are familiar with today.

The ocean is a complex yet mysterious source of life. It is the beginning of life on Earth and has existed largely unchanged for centuries. Since the beginning of man, it has come to symbolize power, immortality, endlessness, and hope.
